Just sharing a fun blog I stumbled upon when I googled artist Jeff Koons.

At my son Daniel's play date today, one of the mother's from France mentioned the mixed reactions by the French over his work at the Versailles. I was very impressed by the beautiful photos from Allison of Allez Allie's blog and thought it was worth sharing with anyone that may not be familiar with her blog.

Ohhh...I think that's sooo very French...putting the ultra modern right next to the very old and traditional! They seem to go for the shock value!! Look at the glass pyramids next to the Louvre or the Pomidou Center with its ultra modern Stravinsky fountain next to a Renaissance church! Even the Eiffel tower was shocking and modern in its time! That's what I love about the French...so unpredictable!! Great post...Debbie

I love this infusion of contemporary art with history. The images are proof of that. They look beautiful together.
